A spawn should never have "unlimited" build space for any single user, as it's a spawn.. A place where new people arrive. Having it turn into an area filled with massive builds, can and will turn people away from wanting to stay and build on the server simply because they wouldn't be able to find a place to do so.

Think of it as a "welcome to CF|UK" area, where people feel welcome and can get their start on the server (and minecraft in general).


Edit: 25x25 - 30x30 max in my opinion.

Personally like the market idea best, to be quite honest.. Having a giant building, which will end up empty after a few weeks, seems like a waste of space and too time consuming for what it's worth.

Having a nice open space, much like a "town square" surrounded by shops with market stalls in the square itself sounds a lot better looking than just having a giant block in the center of everything.
