also confirmed, autonomous activators can't place blocks.. which I wish I found out before I built my setup.. lol

any flowing liquid (which means anything that's not a source block of said liquid) will increase server strain and large areas of flowing liquid will increase lag..
I always make sure I don't have any flowing liquid I don't really need..
If you could replace all those blocks with source blocks, it would be fine, but I'm afraid in any other way it's still considered a "flowing liquid" and will increase lag (especially if your walls are as big as you say)
I'm not saying eliminate all of it, but try to reduce as much as you can..

that's how I understood the problem.. it's not an issue with players, it's with actual blocks (ex. BC quarry) or mobs (ex. Hobgoblins) are not allowed to break blocks..

altho thing is I can see my hobgoblin mining and breaking blocks, but they no longer do what they were supposed to and that's get koboldite dust from them.. it just stopped happening, so I presume game is just handling them breaking blocks in a different way cause of the permission issue.. at least that's what I think it is..

while BC quarry and fillers can't break blocks at all

I have some invulnerable mobs spawn inside my cursed earth grinder and they just won't die..
they also don't appear to be despawning.. there was a zombie and a skelly and they didn't have health bars over.. (regular vanilla ones)
I could hit them forever without hurting them, also grinder can't kill them and gets stuck on trying to kill them which never happens..

is it maybe the same reason hobgoblin mobs can't get needed ores by mining blocks any more?
I had a setup with them that worked fine before, but now doesn't.. maybe they also don't have permission to break blocks.. (just to explain, you tie them with a lead and give them a pick and they mine for you with a small chance of getting a special ore dust)
ore they acquire is needed to progress in one part of witchery mod

I made a post about this in the bug thread I believe.. BC Fillers stopped working also.. noticed a few more odd behaviours

don't disable it, just don't use it in game..
disabling it is probably what is causing your problem

since we got the cfuk plugin, the bc filler stopped being able to work completely (tested by both Piggles and me), it just turns red.. also a few other items are acting weird.. for example leads started popping off all the time, but visually seems like they are still tied to posts which didn't happen before.. bc quarry also started acting weird, looks like it's working, but actually does nothing.. at least one we tried to mine the wither skelly chunk in nether with..

I believe problem is biome called "corrupted sands" that's what it says on journey map while there.. maybe they spawn in it..

edit: Piggles found a piece of fortress beneath them and removed it.. hopefully they won't spawn any more.. gonna check again to make sure
