Re: The 'server is down' REPORT thread. (Server Discussion) Posted on 27 Sep : 00:53
Hey, the server just went down; think it was probably me, I drove a steve's cart over an advanced detector rail (next to a module toggler). All from the same mod so that's what you're supposed to do . . . either way it went down right as the cart touched it : (
As above, if it IS that then a rollback would indeed be preferable

Is FTB down? I'm not getting a response.

Agreed, "failed to receive challenge" on main page and no response for me either
Re: Posting Guides - please read first (Tutorials and Guides) Posted on 13 Sep : 18:57
oh, is direwolf minecraft 1.6.1 ?

Confused me for a minute so to clarify in case of any new readers. For download select "Direwolf 1.2.1" not 1.6.1. 1.6.1 is the version of minecraft the mods run on (ftb will download that for you).
Re: DW20 - Clay on demand, useful little TE recipes (Tutorials and Guides) Posted on 08 Sep : 21:17
that sounds great for very early game boriseng, another option a little bit later is if you have some botania stuff set up a Clayconia flower makes dirt into clay when given mana smile
Re: Anchors, chunk loaders etc. (Server Discussion) Posted on 03 Sep : 19:06
cool, I thought there might be a little bit of lee-way with loading for quantum singularities smile
Can I add that if you press F9 a few times you can see outlines for where the chunks are. If it's possible to load just a single chunk then do try to (build a setup inside a single chunk and put the loader/quarry inside that single chunk). Moving your (e.g.quarry) 2 blocks could mean the difference between loading 4 chunks or 1 smile
Re: Can't run FTB packs again... (Server Discussion) Posted on 27 Aug : 19:48
yeah, older java; I'm running 1.7.0_71. I used a download link that was within the ftb launcher under the options for java
Re: Can't run FTB packs again... (Server Discussion) Posted on 23 Aug : 09:25
I would boriseng; I'm using 10 and worked ok for me. In the ftb launcher if you don't have java there's a link to take you direct to the download page. I'm using 1.7.0_71 (64bit) and it's working ok on my end; was just a pain getting the right java version

Edit: did you do an upgrade or a wipe when installing 10 out of interest ? That could have carried something over . .

Just raided my screenshot folder and found some recent ones, with the exception of Reginald the horse may he rest in peace

Re: DW20 server (Server Discussion) Posted on 01 Jun : 12:48
on a random note, just so it's mentioned, in a worst-case scenario where we change pack, resonant rise was dismissed as it would require users to manually select mods there's a tool specifically for servers to hand out a link that allows auto-selection and auto-install https://forums.atlauncher.com/thread-8693.html details are here, I found it interesting to read at least smile
Re: [poll] Map rollback poll (Server Discussion) Posted on 25 May : 18:06

The option BRooNiE talked about above, as I understand it, is a zero tolerance policy for bad tiles. With a a rollback, it wont instantly destroy a lot unless it already gives issues. If this option is enabled without a rollback it will instantly start destroying hundreds of tile entities that are currently spamming the console (and therefore causing the lag), potentially doing a lot of damage to builds and machinery.

Chista

I feel like that's actually a good thing; if you go to your base and find the roof is missing you know not to build out of whatever it was and if certain machines are gone we know to be watchful of them in future. There could be things relying on those tile entities ofc but if everything breaks we can rollback possibly
