Do you think the old map should be available for download?
YES YES A MILLION TIMES YES!!!
that would be nice. I don't know if Broonie still has them anywhere, but it would be cool if some other older maps could be up for download also.
Old map + my planes + Zeppelin mod = me a happy man.
agreed with sample, first order of business with the old map is to download the zeppelin mod and tnt mod and go nuke cities with samples planes
I wish to download the old map. Lots I never explored ^^

While it would be nice, I don't think it's doable.. The old map being many, many... many gigabytes in size.
Then again, never say never I guess?
That's true though. I could get the same effect by using a normal single player map, and building new planes.
There are copies of the older map, yes. However the problem with these maps is that you need a host for these....stupendous maps size.

I asked Broonie about the map being available for download and he said it's possible that it eventually will be available. As for hosting it somewhere, you could always make a split archive and upload it to some free hosting site. Or I could provide my Dropbox for that purpose, though it'd have to be split into several periods, as I have 2gb of space and the map is about 4gb.
Personally, I just don't care, really.
What is gone, is gone, and that's it. : )

You know what...I was mad that the maps changed. For 5 minutes. I made a few things but nothing I was really missed in the 9 months I've been offline.
Thank you, TheMSL.
I can enjoy mining all over again, enjoy building a new style house instead of getting hung up on the original. I can also enjoy exploring a whole new cave system under my house! C'est La Vie!
I've moved on already
