Even though I would lose quite a bit of work done on my new base I would say update and map reset would be the best option for the server and players.
there are some very good mod updates in this new version which I am looking forward to, and ofc we can all agree that a world reset would be safer than the danger of conflicts.
Always a shame to lose stuff, but there have been too many problems currently. Updating sounds like the best plan.
Personally the only bugs I've experienced have been a general slowdown when many people or those with tech intensive bases are logged on. Admittedly the server has gone down every now and again but as far as i know the world's not been corrupted which is more than many of the other packs managed :L
There have been quite a few different... i'm going to say "conflicts" due to the fact i dont know what the console is putting out. Some of which were a server killer. But the massive resource hogging slow down that eventually causes issues with Vanilla also, needs to be fixed. We're hoping that this is one of the fixes in the update but that's just mere speculation at this point.
There is several "big" updates on different mods, like in twilight forrest some mobs now are literally server killers, they die the server dies. This seams to be fixed in the new update among other things.
Considering I'm getting a new PC next week, I'd go for new world. Not only does it give me more equal footing but: less bugs, always good.
