I just noticed today that I can only chat if i'm in bed (and can only get in bed at night). I've uninstalled and re-installed the game and that didnt help. I've also looked on different forums and haven't been able to find anything about this problem. Anyone have any suggestions?

Have you tried hitting T, then typing?

i've tried every button on my keyboard. someone on a different forum said change the button config, but i've tried and talk/chat can't be changed... at least as far as i've noticed.

You hit the escape button. Then you go into your options tab, and find the correct one for keyboard configuration. I don't remember exactly where it is.
