[poll] FTB Rollback Alternate
Chista, Mon May 25 2015, 11:57AMJust talked to broonie about the lag becoming a lot worse. he offered an alternate solution that might help: resetting dimensions.
In this case a rollback might not be neccesary and steps can be discussed for future prevention while we can at least still play without losing work on our builds (overworld wise anyway) etc.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for getting opis and being able to locate and solve the problems as they arise, but i'm guessing even then people need to be able to stay logged in for more than a minute.

i'm not sure how far this will go towards helping, as it really does depend on if most if not all lag is coming from outside the overworld, if its 50/50 (considering we do more in overworld) then surely over time after every other dimension gets reset, this is gonna end up pushing nearly all lag into the overworld?

I dunno, Broo said it helped before. I trust in his judgement. He's been doing this for a long time, and he can see all the logs. He knows better than any of us what is wrong and thus is the one best suited to offer solutions.

If you mean Nether or End reset, I'm ok with that, but if this also includes Spirit world reset, I don't want to lose my build and some valuable things (specific to that dimension) there since it's hard to do stuff there.. also losing Deep dark quarries is not something I'm looking forward too..
