Please re-enable spawner placement on FTBm! frown

After moving 5 spawners from our grinder to new place, Piggles and I realised we can't place them anymore! frown
It's hard work to get to the point where u can move and place them.. and we have around 15 totally useless spawners in our ME now..

I don't really see the point in banning their placement since we can use Cursed Earth that spawns even more mobs much faster, just we can't choose which ones that way..

MFR Auto-Spawners are useless without regular spawner, cursed earth and similar ways to get essence, since they use more mob essence to create new mobs then they make by killing them..

Also regular spawners don't spawn too many mobs and are very slow..
this way we have destroyed ones we found by picking them up what we wouldn't have done if we knew this would happen..

Please consider re-enabling this feature

Actually I still don't know if this is a bug, maybe like the permissions problem we had, or was this added as new configuration?

I dont think this was intentional. I haven't heard anything about banning spawner placing. It's possible something went wrong after the last roll back, we'll have to add this issue to the list of bugs we need to check out.

oh ok smile that's why I wrote that this might be a bug, but the first thing that popped into our minds was it was now forbidden..
another thing, I was playing vanilla today and realised placing tnt uses 5 emeralds from my account every time.. donno why it's happening since I didn't place any before that..
and I realised my whole vending machine I built in "Bana Lane 13" is gone.. like whole lot is reset.. it's a somewhat complicated and time consuming build so I'm not gonna do it again, just wandering what happened? I heard something was happening at vanilla spawn, but I heaven't played there for a long time so I don't really know what was going on..

Sry I added these totally unrelated things to this topic, but I thought maybe it's better not to open 2 more topics and fill forum if not that necessary..

Basically there was an error in the bukkit code that's been there for quite some time. It affected all servers using that version of bukkit (not just CFUK) at different points but suffice to say it screwed up vanilla, mainly spawn area as that's always loaded.

A lot of blocks we're just removed and some chunks were oddly reset but to a slightly different seed.

The guys have been working hard to repair spawn but there's still a lot of damage remaining. Broonie managed to fix another version of bukkit for our use and seems stable so far but there are still a lot of bugs and glitches to be repaired.

Unfortunately there was no way to recover some of the losses as any rollbacks came to the same end due to the error being in the bukkit code for some time.

During this process of upgrading the servers and coding it's going to be a little hairy for us anyway but i'm sure once everything is smoothed out the servers will be better than ever.
