It's not the solar system. If the biggest of those stars were in our solar system, it would engulf all the planets up to saturn (including earth). They are all stars from our galaxy.
I use these pictures in schools all the time. Shows much the same thing. Blows minds every time. Even blows my mind.

It's not the solar system. If the biggest of those stars were in our solar system, it would engulf all the planets up to saturn (including earth). They are all stars from our galaxy.
