Minecraft Keeps Crashing-Not too sure what to do...

ninjanpirate, Fri Aug 31 2012, 09:18PM

Hai folks,

Having gotten a new toaster and attempting to play minecraft, it logs in fine and runs nice and smooth for about 30 seconds, and then lags horrendously and crashes.

I don't get it, this computer is considerably better than my old laptop in pretty much every way.

Any ideas what I can do about it?

Thanks.

1. try lowering your render when ever I set mine to far its fine until I move and load new chunks at which point it freezes
2. try getting optifine that has worked wonders for my fps. But I do occasionally run out of memory. Results from optifine vary a lot some people even say it makes it worse but considering you're current state it cant exactly make it much worse

I don't think it's a lag issue as it's crashing, maybe it's java but then again what you said jimi could help as the only crashes i get are from mods, does it have a crash log or does it just close?

awww ninjan seems like you've got it worse then me. I know this current pc is much better than my last one but runs minecraft like a pig in comparison. Not crashing though just low fps pretty much constantly.
Tbh i have no idea what its about so sorry mate i can't help you, but i'd be interested to see what you need to do to sort it.

Check the .minecraft folder for crash reports, there usually in .txt or .log files, post them here.
