Minecraft.net Password Reset
beagrie, Tue Oct 11 2011, 11:37AMI just got an email from Mojang saying a password reset was requested on my account. Has anyone else had this? I'm just curious as to whether this is part of some kind of mass hack attempt, or if it's someone just trying to get into my account.

The website, or the server? I haven't been on the server (or tried to get on) since the weekend. I'm not sure when I last logged into website (I leave my laptop logged in) though.

Hmm. I'm not sure when I last had to log in, but I can say that it wasn't me if;
- They were failed attempts (my browser remembers my details) or;
- They were today. I definitely haven't had to log in today.
And now I'm wondering why someone is trying to log on to Crazy-Fools as me.

Alot of regulars have been attempted to be logged in by other users, it happens alot. I'm a regular prime target

Alot of regulars have been attempted to be logged in by other users, it happens alot. I'm a regular prime target

Still, I'm a bit weary as to what whoever it is was planning to do if they'd gotten onto the server as me...

The captcha boxes have been present for around 8 weeks now, and will remain until the attackers have stopped.diablothe2nd

First thing you need to check:
Check the header information of the email you've got. In case it's really from "@", or something like that, just disregard and delete it.
Second thing:
Minecraft.net administrators WILL NEVER ASK FOR YOUR LOGIN INFO ON AN EMAIL! If you're asked for your login info on any other web address than on http://minecraft.net/ login page, DO NOT ENTER IT!
