I do understand technology, I program in C++ and tiny bits of ASM. My comment about mass-mailers (the typical commercial kind, not the kind which target specific addresses) taking junk words like 'spam' out of e-mail addresses is well known because the crawlers, when they come across an e-mail address such as @ the SPAM is either part of the email address or it isn't, so the distinction is made one way or the other, usually erring toward removal as human tendency is to include it.BRooNiE
Maybe you should keep off the porn sites.
We've never passed on details (except to authorities when required), been hacked, or any intrusions whatsoever.
Obviously you are clueless by making blind accusations with no supporting evidence.
Maybe with your "super-complex" e-mail address, you should invest in a "super-complex" spam filter rather than just filtering the word "spam" (lol)
Your statement with adding extra characters obviously shows you have little understanding how actually technology works.

I'm pretty sure it is CFUK's doing since it's based in the UK and so is Jagex. I'm getting all kinds of phishing/spam aimed at a UK market yet I am not a citizen of that nation. The only other site I've registered at was the BBC and I highly doubt they'd be the ones to solicit fraudulent e-mails or enable others to do so.
Fact is, with your tone and attempt to belittle me for voicing a concern over what I thought was a coincidence, you have me leaning toward the notion that you are responsible for this and you are attempting damage control, attempting to make me look like I don't know what I'm talking about. I do. It won't work. Just stop sending me your phishing e-mails, I'm not falling for it. Thank you.
