WOWIE 1.7 is here huzzah

Just gotta wait for the multiplayer to get updated , at least you have a chance to sus things out in 1.7 now the new biomes are really rare though :/

Yeah I sent broonie a seed I found a while ago with the spawn in the new mesa biome, but he has not said if he is using it, it would be nice to be in or near that biome from the get go as it is very rare and with a limited border it may not even be available right away.

Broonie also mentioned larger biomes in the front page, does this mean the seed is with large biomes gen turned on? I am not sure this would be a good thing, especially since it would probably mean the rare biomes would be even rarer / harder to find given the limited border?

We shall just have to wait and see , we might (doubt it) get an amplified world for all we know but yes the biomes are rare I'm hoping to find a redwood biome with the lovely podzol so I can harvest it , one thing few people have noticed is that mushroom biomes are going to be really rare now , since before it was one in land mush biome for every 8 or so island ones , now there is less sea and more "competing" biomes they will be very rare ( twice as many biomes now !!! )hopefully we shall see at least one of the five more interesting biomes ( we're bound to seed roofed forest and most likely savanna , but I'm hoping for redwood , ice spikes or Mesa , fingers crossed really )
